The Laura Thorne Sculpture Program honors the life and work of sculptor and arts patron Laura Thorne. Laura was a vital force in the fine arts of the Roaring Valley for fifty years, co-founding the Aspen Art Museum, supporting diverse cultural initiatives, and achieving national recognition as an artist in sculptural and print media. Her inspiration and example will live on at the Art Base with adult and youth educational programming in sculptural principles and techniques and in exhibition opportunities for artists working in three-dimensional media.
